rachiopathy:
Any disorder of the vertebrae. Also spondylopathy.
radiculomyelopathy:
Disease of the spinal cord and spinal nerve roots. Also known as myeloradiculopathy.
radiculoneuropathy:
Disease of the spinal nerve roots and nerves.
radiculopathy:
Disease of spinal nerve roots.
renopathy:
A rarely used term for nephropathy, a disease of the kidneys.
retinopathy:
1. Any disease of the retina.
2. A noninflammatory degenerative disease of the retina.
rhinopathy, rhinopathia:
Any disease of the nose.
sociopath, sociopathy, sociopathic:
A reference to antisocial behavior or to antisocial personality disorders.
somatopathy:
Any disease of the body.
somnipathy:
Any sleep disorder.
spermatopathy:
Any disease of the semen or spermatozoa.
splanchnopathy:
Any disease of the abdominal viscera.
splenopathy:
Any disease of the spleen.
spondylopathy:
Any disease of the vertebrae or spinal column.
stereopathy:
Persistent stereotyped thinking (maintenance of one attitude for a long time; constant repetition of certain meaningless gestures or movements, as in certain forms of schizophrenia).
stomatopathy:
Any disease of the oral cavity or mouth.
stratepathy:
Diseases connected with military service.
sympathectomy:
The transection, resection, or other interruption of some portion of the sympathetic nervous pathways; the surgical removal of a part of the sympathetic nervous system.
In anatomy, the part of the autonomic nervous system originating in the thoracic and lumbar regions of the spinal cord that in general inhibits or opposes the physiological effects of the parasympathetic nervous system, as in tending to reduce digestive secretions, speeding up the heart, and contracting blood vessels.
sympathicopathy:
Any disease due to a disorder of the sympathetic or autonomic nervous system.
syphilopathy:
Any disease caused by syphilis.
thoracopathy:
Any disorder of the thorax or of the thoracic organs or tissues.
thrombocytopathy:
A general term for any disorder of the coagulating mechanism that results from dysfunction of the blood platelets.
thrombopathy:
A nonspecific term applied to disorders of blood platelets.
thymopathy:
Any disease of the thymus (a ductless, glandlike organ situated in the upper thorax near the throat).
thyropathy:
A disorder of the thyroid gland.
tonsillopathy:
A disease of the tonsil.
toxicopathy, toxicopathic:
Disease caused by the action of a poison or toxin; especially chronic poisoning.
tracheopathy, tracheopathia:
Any disease of the trachea.
traumatopathy:
Any pathological condition due to wounds or injuries.
trichopathy, trichopathic:
Any disease of the hair.
ureteropathy:
Disease of the ureter.
uropathy:
Any disorder involving the urinary tract.
vaginopathy:
Any diseased condition of the vagina.
vasculopathy:
Any disease of the blood vessels.
vasoneuropathy:
Any disease involving both the nerves and blood vessels.
vestibulopathy:
Any abnormality of the vestibular apparatus (a space or cavity at the entrance to a canal in the ear, larynx, mouth, nose, vagina, etc.).
vitreoretinopathy:
Retinopathy with vitreous complications.
xanthopathy:
Xanthochromia, the occurrence of patches of yellow discoloration in the skin, resembling jaundice.
zoopathology, zoopathy:
The study or science of the diseases of animals; animal pathology.
